The 2021 Recommend If You Like Rewatch Tournament – Round 3
Sweet sixteen. After another week of voting on Twitter and Instagram, we’ve narrowed our choices. It’s time to vote again.
Once again, rankings have been determined by Rotten Tomatoes. When Rotten Tomatoes wasn’t available we used Metacritic. In the rare exception neither gave a ranking, they were seeded at the bottom of the bracket. For Round 3, we’re reseeding based on the Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic rankings.
We allowed each writer to choose the category. What’s dramatic to some is funny to others.
Unlike Round 1, there were no ties in Round 2. Contests were close, Addams Family Values beat The Nightmare Before Christmas and High Fidelity beat Derry Girls by 1 vote and Deadwood beat Succession by 2 votes. Some contests looked close on Twitter but were blowouts on Instagram. Field of Dreams narrowly won the Twitter poll against Heat but was destroyed via the Instagram poll.
