The Best Giveaways for Every MLB Team in 2025

The best team in baseball has the best giveaways in baseball. The worst team in baseball has the wildest, funnest giveaways in baseball. Whether you’re donning Dodger blue or one of the good guys that wear black, you’re going to want to attend as many Dodgers and White Sox home games as possible. If you’re a supporter of any of the 28 other Major League Baseball teams, there’s at least one decent giveaway to get the most lapsed fan into the stadium.

AL East

Baltimore Orioles

April 18 vs Cincinnati Reds: Hockey Jersey

The O’s have a lot of really good giveaways. All of the jerseys look good, especially the Jim Palmer replica, but we’re going with the O’s hockey jersey featuring the angry bird. Baltimore hasn’t had an NHL affiliate in decades and the city has never had an NHL team. I want more hockey around me.

Boston Red Sox

August 16 vs Miami Marlins: Sling Bag

The Red Sox, like most popular teams, do not have very good giveaways. The sling bag is nice since you can’t bring a sling bag into the park (I loathe the security theater of pro sports) but you can take one home?

New York Yankees

July 11 vs Chicago Cubs: Billy Joel Bobblehead

Sure, we could have gone with the Arron Judge Superman bobblehead, but why not honor Long Island’s finest? Stupid bobbleheads are better than non-stupid bobbleheads. I still think about the Pitbull bobblehead the Marlins gave away in 2018.

Tampa Bay Rays

March 28 vs Colorado Rockies: Magnet Schedule

Really bad giveaways for a club that could definitely use some good giveaways. The Opening Day magnet schedule gets the pick since it might be the only piece of ephemera that references that the team is playing in a minor league ballpark this season.

Toronto Blue Jays

May 17 vs Detroit Tigers: Blue Jays Barbie Hawaiian Shirt

The Jays are doing everything right when it comes to giveaways. They have hockey, football, basketball, rugby and hockey jerseys. They have bomber and cricket jackets. They have good looking bobbleheads of their players and a Charlie Brown bobblehead to boot. The Hawaiian style Barbie shirt gets the pick since it’s a few years late to the party and why not?

Related, though technically not a giveaway, the Blue Jays ‘Work From Dome’ for every Wednesday and Thursday 3:07 p.m. home game is brilliant. Every club should do this but I bet every American club has to deal with stupid security theater that prevents people from bringing their laptops into the stadium.

AL Central

Chicago White Sox

June 28 vs San Francisco Giants: 1959 Comiskey Park Radio

The White Sox typically have the best giveaways in the game and this season is no different. The radio in the shape of the old ballpark is amazing because it’s a functional AM/FM radio and a reminder of the old Comiskey. I’ve already written about how the documentary Old Comiskey was incredibly enjoyable, especially as someone that actually went to the old park. This giveaway injects new life into those memories.

Cleveland Guardians

September 13 vs Chicago White Sox: City Connect Lightweight Hoodie

There are some pretty good options for Cleveland fans, especially their Free Shirt Fridays throughout the summer. But a lightweight hoodie is more useful than a t-shirt in the Midwest.

Detroit Tigers

July 26 vs Toronto Blue Jays: Hawaiian Shirt and Shorts Set

Every Saturday home game has a pretty solid giveaway at Comerica. We were going to go with the Tigers flannel shirt or Tigers windbreaker, both very thoughtful April items, but the shirt and shorts set takes the honors since no other team is offering top and bottom clothing giveaways.

Kansas City Royals

May 27 vs Cincinnati Reds: Pasquatch Necklace

The Royals are leaning into their 1985 and 2015 World Series Championships all season with some pretty excellent giveaways. The George Brett & Bret Saberhagen 1985 Championship Bobblehead  is the best and would have gotten the honor if it didn’t require a special ticket. The 2015 replica ring is…not for me. I wore a 1991-92 Chicago Bulls Championship ring to school for a few months but I was 9-years-old. Anyway, the Pasquatch necklace gets the pick because a sasquatch mascot/nickname for a first baseman is funny and requires a lot of explaining to the unfamiliar.

Minnesota Twins

August 9 vs Kansas City Royals: Native American Heritage baseball bat

Nothing bad ever happens when baseball bats are given to the 5,000 people to walk through the gates.

AL West

Athletics

April 2 vs Chicago Cubs: Rickey Henderson T-Shirt

Oakland deserved better. Rickey Henderson deserved better.

Houston Astros

March 29 vs New York Mets: Jeremy Peña Retro Basketball Jersey

I hate the Astros because I am a good baseball fan. But I love the old Astros logo because I am a good baseball fan. This throwback basketball jersey looks great and useful for Houston weather.

Los Angeles Angels

September 5 vs Athletics:Angels & Ducks Cooler Bag

The Angels had the best giveaways when the best player in baseball was on their team. Now, eh. This year’s Hawaiian shirt isn’t so great and the one giveaway with their old logo is just a reminder that used to have a much better logo. The Angels & Ducks Cooler is clearly the winner since it’s useful and combines baseball and hockey.

Seattle Mariners

April 25 vs Miami Marlins: City Connect Captain’s Hat Night

It’s an actual captain’s hat. The Mariners are one of the best clubs for giveaways in baseball.

Texas Rangers

August 26 vs Los Angeles Angels: Texas Rangers Hockey Jersey

It looks good. It looks really good. The Sugar Skull Bobblehead giveaway still doesn’t have any art but I bet that’ll look good too.

NL East

Atlanta Braves

April 6 vs Miami Marlins: Chris Sale “Triple Crown” Giveaway

It’s an actual crown. It’s a kids giveaway. Drunk dudes are going to steal these crowns from the kids.

Miami Marlins

May 18 vs Tampa Bay Rays: Celia Cruz Bobblehead

This is a good giveaway. The beach towel is another. That’s about it for the Marlins. Shame on you, Marlins. You have the worst attendance in baseball because you refuse to give away better dumb stuff.

New York Mets

September 19 vs Washington Nationals: Pop-Up Home Run Apple

This is a good giveaway. There are about 20 more good Mets giveaways. Good for you, Mets. You spend so much money on your team and your giveaways and that makes me like you.

Philadelphia Phillies

July 6 vs Cincinnati Reds: Philadelphia Water Ice Phanatic Beach Towel

Philadelphia has the best mascots in all sports so their best giveaway had to feature the Phanatic. For some reason this beach towel is just for kids.

Washington Nationals

June 8 vs Texas Rangers: Kids Mr. Potato Head

As the father of two kids that enjoy playing with a Mr. Potato Head, I will most likely be attending this game solely to get this giveaway. Related, Nationals Park Kids Zone is a very good and useful space. Every park needs one of these. Or a few of these. Every park needs at least two of these with views to the field.

NL Central

Chicago Cubs

April 26 vs Philadelphia Phillies: Clark the Cub’s Scoreboard Bobblehead

The Cubs are too popular to have so many quality giveaways. It took too long to pick just one of these. The Clark scoreboard bobblehead wins because it combines three very good baseball things: a lovable mascot, a big green manual scoreboard and a bobblehead.

Cincinnati Reds

June 28 vs San Diego Padres: Big Red Machine 50th Anniversary Cap

It’s just a good looking hat with the best Reds logo.

Milwaukee Brewers

May 17 vs Minnesota Twins: Brewers Cribbage Board

I can’t believe the cooler didn’t get the pick, but have you ever seen a cribbage board giveaway? I have not and I look at 30 of these promotional schedules every year.

Pittsburgh Pirates

August 24 vs Colorado Rockies: Big Bird Plush

You know how to make a kid become a fan of your favorite team? Get them a plushie with the team logo on it.

St. Louis Cardinals

June 8 vs Los Angeles Dodgers: Rawlings Kids Glove

The Cards have the best sweatshirt giveaways, but giving away actual baseball gloves is way more important than giving adults something to wear. This is how to grow the game.

NL West

Arizona Diamondbacks

May 17 vs Colorado Rockies: Replica Home Jersey

This is their best giveaway and it’s not that good. Do better, D-Backs.

Colorado Rockies

April 5 vs Athletics: Brenton Doyle & Ezequiel Tovar Gold Glove T-shirt

A No Limit Records inspired shirt from the least No Limit Records inspired team.

Los Angeles Dodgers

March 29 vs Detroit Tigers: Orel Hershiser Jersey

The team with the best bobbleheads in baseball (they have four different Shohei bobbleheads!) gets the jersey pick because it ties to their last World Series and their 1988 World Series. It’s somehow both nostalgia and tied to the best World Series since 2016. The Dodgers are doing everything right, including giveaways.

San Diego Padres

July 29 vs New York Mets: Sandless Beach Towel

I want the Tony Gwynn rookie bobblehead, but the beach towel is actually useful.

San Francisco Giants

July 26 vs New York Mets: Stephen Curry Bobblehead

Steph is the GOAT.
